About VETaround; Sydney's Mobile Vet

We provide structured veterinary care centred on in-home consultations, with access to hospital-based treatment when your pet needs it. We offer this service to residents of Sydney‘s Inner West, Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore.

We established our service to address a common gap in veterinary care. Many pets, especially those who are anxious, older, or unwell, find clinic visits stressful. This can make a thorough assessment difficult and delay the start of treatment.

Seeing your pet at home lets us assess them in a familiar setting where they are more relaxed and comfortable. This helps us gain a clearer understanding of their behaviour, mobility, and overall health.

A Clear Clinical Approach

Our approach to care follows a clear, structured process.

Each consultation starts with a thorough assessment, followed by any necessary testing. This might include blood tests, pathology, or further investigations, depending on what we find during the visit.

We base our decisions on clinical evidence, not assumptions. This means your pet receives treatment that is tailored to their condition and adjusted as their needs change over time.

Practical Care Without Extra Steps

When treatment is needed, we can often start it during the consultation.

We can prescribe and dispense medications during your visit, so treatment can begin straight away. This avoids extra trips to the pharmacy and helps keep care continuous, which is especially important for urgent situations or pets who find extra handling stressful.

We manage repeat prescriptions and ongoing treatment as part of a comprehensive care plan, ensuring your pet receives consistent support over time.

Calm, Controlled Consultations

We conduct our consultations with a calm and structured approach.

When needed, a team member assists to ensure your pet is handled gently and safely during the examination. This means you do not need to restrain your pet, allowing us to focus on a thorough and caring assessment.

This approach is especially helpful for pets who are anxious or difficult to handle.

"Dr Ari was amazing with my very shy and anxious cat. Being able to visit her in her own home helped a lot, and he knew exactly how to interact with her to calm her down - even enough to hold her and gently examine her - something I can't even do!"

In-Home Care Supported By Hospital Services

Some conditions require care beyond what we can provide at home.

When your pet needs more advanced procedures, such as surgery or detailed diagnostics, we coordinate care through a hospital setting. This ensures every stage of treatment happens in the most suitable environment for your pet.

We assess your pet first, then guide you through the next steps based on what is clinically needed.

Ongoing Care And Long-Term Management

Many conditions need ongoing monitoring rather than a single treatment.

We support long-term care through regular consultations, which help us identify and manage changes in your pet’s condition early. This is especially important for chronic disease, geriatric care, and palliative support.

Our focus is on maintaining your pet’s stability, function, and quality of life over time.

In-Home Services

In-home care forms the foundation of how we treat and manage your pet’s health. Most conditions can be assessed, treated, and monitored in a familiar environment where pets are calmer and easier to handle. Available to residents of Sydney’s inner city, Inner West, Eastern Suburbs and the Lower North Shore.

First visit from Ari and Ellie and it went beyond all expectations. They were so genuinely interested in my two cats. Of course I couldn’t stop talking about them but they clearly were not bored. Did excellent health checks and vaccinations – was an absolute pleasure and I would totally recommend them to anybody. So fabulous having no stress of lugging…

Ari is the best vet ever. His home visits are incredible. Such a great service to not have to put your beloved pets in the stressful situation of a car. Or around sick pets in a waiting area. My cats LOVE HIM. Ollie my male cat NEVER comes out of hiding when visitors come over. With Ari, he not only came out, let him weigh him, have his check up done…

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes VETaround different from a standard vet clinic?

VETaround is built around in-home care, so your pet is assessed in a familiar environment where handling is often calmer and more controlled. Most consults are supported by a two-person team, allowing proper examination and treatment without you needing to manage or restrain your pet.

Care is not limited to the home. When more advanced procedures or support are required, hospital-based care is integrated into the process, so treatment can continue without gaps or changes in approach.

Is VETaround just a mobile vet service?

Care is delivered in your home, but it is structured around full clinical management, not just basic visits. This includes assessment, diagnostics, treatment, and ongoing care, with the ability to move into a hospital setting when needed.

This allows care to begin at home and continue seamlessly if more advanced procedures or support are required.

Can my pets health conditions be managed through home visits?

Many conditions can be assessed and managed at home, including ongoing care and monitoring. This allows treatment to be delivered without unnecessary stress for your pet.

If more advanced procedures are required, these are arranged as part of the care plan.

How are pets handled during in-home vet consultations?

Handling is calm and controlled, with a focus on reducing stress for your pet. A two-person team attends where needed, so one person can focus on the examination while the other assists with positioning and restraint.

This allows your pet to be managed safely without you needing to hold them, and supports a more thorough and accurate assessment.

Are medications provided during the in-home vet consultation?

Yes, commonly used medications are carried and can be supplied during the consultation, allowing treatment to begin immediately. This avoids the need for a separate pharmacy visit.

Ongoing treatment can also be managed through repeat prescriptions, with options for follow-up supply where appropriate.
