Our mobile vets can take care of the vast majority of your pet’s healthcare at home, but sometimes your pet may need to visit the vet hospital for further investigation or treatment. We know this is a worrying time for you so we treat your pets as if they were our own and give them the very highest standards of care.
We have a wonderful relationship with a local partner practice and look after your pets in a modern, well-equipped surgery.
VETaround’s in-hospital services include:
Full nursing care
Advanced medical investigations
Our trained veterinary nurses are compassionate and caring. They look after your pet while they are in hospital making sure they are comfortable and happy.
So for example our nurses take care of bedding changes, heat pad changes, checking bandages and dressings and offering fresh water and tasty food as appropriate. They also help our vets by holding your pet while they are being examined and assist our vets in the operating theatre.
We take incredible care with anaesthesia for your pet. Before the procedure we give your pet a full pre-operative health check which might include blood samples. We use modern anaesthetic techniques and drugs and monitor your pet very closely keeping detailed logs throughout the procedure.
Our Vet Hospital
Our partner hospital is fully equipped with everything we need to care for your pet while they are with us. The operating theatre includes advanced surgical equipment and we pay particular attention to sterility and autoclaving standards.
We offer elective surgery (e.g. desexing) and non-elective surgery like lump removals, wound management and abscess treatment. More advanced surgery might be performed by Vetaround or in conjunction with associated vets or referral to specialists. This is something we discuss with you should the situation arise.
Advanced Medical Investigations
Vetaround offer advanced medical services in endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, medical neurology, and cardio-respiratory medicine. We have quality diagnostic imaging facilities for radiology (X-rays) and ultrasonography. This means if your pet is ill we can work hard to find out what is wrong and how we can help.
Dental problems are a huge cause of health problems in our pets. Infections around your pet’s teeth are painful and cause disease throughout the body. We have advanced dental equipment in our vet hospital so we can remove infected teeth and clean away tartar leaving your pet with a healthy mouth and fresh breath.
Our mobile vets can take care of transporting your pet to hospital in our Vetaround van.
